Tad Craig Photography bio picture

Greetings from Beautiful Maui Hawaii

Born in Aspen, and raised in Telluride, Colorado, Tad has
always had a passion for the outdoors and a reverence for the
beauty of his natural surroundings.

Tad received his first camera, a Nikon FE2, as a high school
graduation gift. Since then, he has been obsessed with
perfecting his craft, constantly pushing himself to create
better, more beautiful images. He began his career as a sports
photographer shooting extreme sports in Colorado, Oregon, and
Hawaii.

The transition from Sports to Wedding Photographer evolved  with the help of three things: A Public Relations degree from C.U. Boulder, years of experience working in Five Star Hotels
and a solid photography background. Tad skillfully blends
traditional techniques with spontaneous photojournalism. The
striking quality of his photographs is rooted in the basics:
clean, simple compositions, a candid eye toward his subjects,
and the ability to step out of the way to allow the
breathtaking beauty of the Pacific speak for itself.

Tad prides himself on treating clients like friends and takes an
invitation to photograph every event to heart. His professional,
easy going personality will help make your special day relaxed,
hassle free, and fun. His creative eye, attention to detail, and
friendly, approachable nature have made him one of the most sought
after photographers on the Islands. His gift for connecting with
people and consistently delivering beautiful images will help turn
your wedding dreams into reality.

Jim & Carrie’s Beautiful Maui White Rock Beach Wedding!

November 15, 2012 - 7:05 AM Carrie & Jim Brown - Our New Found Friend~ We met a friend just days before our special day. He was genuine, excited, and inspired to be a part of our day. His enthusiasm and equanimity gave relief to us both that we had invited a new friend into our life and to share our day that we will never forget. We wanted to let everyone know that if you're getting married, celebrating a special time, or cherishing unforgettable moments with the ones you love, you need to look no further than Tad Craig. He will capture all of your moments that you will treasure forever. Tad's vision and excitement for us made us feel we knew we had met the right person to bring our moment to canvas. The photos are unbelievable Tad! You captured our tears, our laughter, and our excitement! Thank you so much. You are our friend for life. Carrie & Jim

A Gannon’s Affair in Wailea.

Rebecca tried to cancel her first date with Geoff because she was too nervous (and the season finale of The Bachelor was airing). She told him she was too busy and tired but he convinced her they would just meet briefly since it was a work night for both of them. They made it home around 3:00 am after talking on a bench by a lake all night. Geoff eventually proposed on that same bench a little over a year later and the rest is history!
Just two years later, they said their “I Do’s” to each other at the stunning Gannon’s Restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean! With their family & a few closest friends, they united as ONE and had blast along the way!

My very best to Rebecca & Geoff. Have a Fantastic life together! Tad

Sarah & Yan just got Mauied!

Everything was beautiful and “Pretty in Pink”! The Keawalai Church was decorated to the “nines” and gorgeous. The pink roses stood, stunning contrast to the red alter behind Yan. Yan patiently waited at the alter for his bride and her fabulous dress! Later on after doing lots of pictures at the church we moved on to Gannon’s for their reception. The theme at the reception was also pink…with pink in just about “everywhere”! Sarah came to me asking if i could get a couple fashion oriented shots in her “second” dress…of course, i told her, when she made her second entry with her new dress was amazed! Well done, Congrats to the both of you!

Jennifer & Mike’s Intimate Maui Wedding

This was a great little wedding up at Gannon’s Restaurant overlooking the pacific. The lighting was especially beautiful & of course the bride was positively “glowing”. Jennifer’s bubbly personality was especially contagious & both her & Mike had me cracking up all the time. Enjoy the shots & big congratulations to Jennifer & Mike!

Ritchie & Shoon are Just Maui’ed

OMG, Ritchie was so excited about her big day & it was written all over her face. She married her high school sweet heart after 10 or 12 years. Quite amazing! Once again I had a great time shooting up at the upper knoll @ Seawatch in Wailea. Both of their friends & families were fantastic Enjoy the pictures!
