Tad Craig Photography bio picture

Greetings from Beautiful Maui Hawaii

Born in Aspen, and raised in Telluride, Colorado, Tad has
always had a passion for the outdoors and a reverence for the
beauty of his natural surroundings.

Tad received his first camera, a Nikon FE2, as a high school
graduation gift. Since then, he has been obsessed with
perfecting his craft, constantly pushing himself to create
better, more beautiful images. He began his career as a sports
photographer shooting extreme sports in Colorado, Oregon, and
Hawaii.

The transition from Sports to Wedding Photographer evolved  with the help of three things: A Public Relations degree from C.U. Boulder, years of experience working in Five Star Hotels
and a solid photography background. Tad skillfully blends
traditional techniques with spontaneous photojournalism. The
striking quality of his photographs is rooted in the basics:
clean, simple compositions, a candid eye toward his subjects,
and the ability to step out of the way to allow the
breathtaking beauty of the Pacific speak for itself.

Tad prides himself on treating clients like friends and takes an
invitation to photograph every event to heart. His professional,
easy going personality will help make your special day relaxed,
hassle free, and fun. His creative eye, attention to detail, and
friendly, approachable nature have made him one of the most sought
after photographers on the Islands. His gift for connecting with
people and consistently delivering beautiful images will help turn
your wedding dreams into reality.

Caitlin & Ryan marry at The Gorgeous Blue Sky Villa!

Immediately upon arriving at the Gorgeous Blue Sky Villa on Maui’s West Side, I was captivated by Caitlin & her mom’s giant smiles & HUMONGOUS excitement for the wedding!
Caitlin was just beaming from ear to ear! Blue Sky Weddings had taken care of all the details, including ordering up the soft flattering light that I love shooting with. Midway through the wedding, Ryan’s dad picked up his acoustic guitar & played a soulful tribute to the newly weds. It was very beautiful.

My very best wishes go out to Caitlin & Ryan! Congratulations & thank you so much for letting me be a part of your most special day! Enjoy the pictures!

Nicole & Kevin’s Intimate Christmas Eve Wedding

Christmas Eve, I arrived at the gorgeous Sugarmans Plantation House to find that it had just rained. The fresh smell of rain dampened the grass a weeee bit, but NOT the brides enthusiasm to get married! The bride also knew I’m a cyclist & proudly told me how her finace had just ridden his bicycle UP Haleakala & summited the 10,023′ feet mountain. Quite an acomplishment for anyone, including a groom getting married in a few days time.

With just a few of their closest friends & family by there sides they tied the knot with a short but sweet ceremony. They were gifted with a stunning sunset & gorgeous light! A photographers delight!

Enjoy the pictures & Congrats Nicole & Kevin
